The Journal of the Korean Society of Mathematics Education Series D (JKSMED) is an international journal in which high-quality research can be assimilated to mathematicians and mathematics educators in schools, colleges, and universities. As the only English journal sponsored by the Korean Society of Mathematics Education, this journal seeks research from the international community covering a variety of theoretical, pedagogical, methodological, and philosophical topics related to mathematics education. However, we are particularly interested in research to provide insights to the Korean mathematics education community. There are three types of articles: Research Articles, Book Review, and Research Review. Research articles show original innovative works corresponding to Interests and values of the international mathematics education society. This type of articles can be replication studies originally conducted not in Asian countries, in the context of specific Asian countries including Korea. The book reviews aim to encourage discussions about significant books overcoming language barriers. In the research reviews, research articles or research projects written in Korean or other language are discussed with critiques. The research reviews provide opportunities for communications among international researchers about mathematics education studies in Korean contexts.
